  • Canadian physical distribution assessment: For a large trade publisher evaluated a number of alternatives for distributing into Canada including an owned operation, cross-docking, and use of third-party distributors. (Trade1)
  • International textbook diversion assessment: Evaluated the extent to which textbooks sold overseas were being diverted back into the U.S. market and what possible actions might be that publishers could take to address the problem. (HE2)
  • China print sourcing: Increased offshoring of print activities to China, leading to $3.75mm reduction in annual manufacturing spend. (HE38)
  • India content services outsourcing: Increased offshoring of composition and prepress services to ultimately include 69% of all pages, including both simple and complex work in higher education, trade and K12 markets. Along with offshored data conversion the project has resulted ina net 27% savings in plant spend. (HE39)
  • Cuban editorial development: Supervised the editorial development and production of CUBA, a premier two-volume set containing interpretative essays on major topics in Cuban history, culture, and society. Articles were authored, among others, by scholars from Cuba requiring addressing intricate legal and financial restrictions in movement of funds between the U.S. and Cuba. (HE40)
